Setup guide

Live in 15 minutes.

No developer needed, no Composer, no Apple/Google accounts. You only need your Now2Wallet API key.

How do you want to add the wallet button?

Steps 1 & 2 are the same either way — this only changes step 3.

1

Install the plugin

In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the now2wallet.zip from your Now2Wallet account, then Install and Activate. There is no vendor/ to build — it's a plain drop-in.

2

Paste your API key

Go to Settings → Now2Wallet and:

  • Paste your Now2Wallet API key (format key_id.secret).
  • Tick Google Wallet and/or Apple Wallet.
  • Set your brand name, colours, logo and labels — this is how every pass will look.
  • Save.

That's the whole connection. Apple and Google certificates live centrally with Now2Wallet — you never touch them.

3

Add the button to your ticket

No code — recommended. The wallet buttons are already built into our ticket theme. You just upload it and select it.
  1. Download the Now2Wallet ticket theme (now2wallet-ticket-theme.zip) from your Now2Wallet account.
  2. In WordPress: FooEvents → Ticket Themes“Upload Ticket Theme” → choose the ZIP.
  3. Edit your event → Ticket Settings → set HTML Ticket Theme (and PDF) to “Now2Wallet Ticket Theme”Update.

Done — the wallet buttons appear automatically in the ticket. No file editing, and it survives updates.

Test it

Place a test order (or resend a ticket) and open the ticket. The mail now shows Add to Apple Wallet and Add to Google Wallet buttons. One tap and the pass is in the wallet — the QR value is the FooEvents ticket ID, so your Check-ins app scans it unchanged.

Optional: show the ticket at the venue Apple Wallet

Apple Wallet can surface the ticket on the lock screen when the attendee is near your venue (about 150 m) — no extra app and no push setup, it’s built right into the pass.

  1. Go to Settings → Now2Wallet and, under “Location hint”, tick “Show at the venue”.
  2. In Google Maps, find the venue, right-click the exact spot and click the coordinates at the top of the menu — that copies something like 49.1234, 8.5678. Paste it into Coordinates.
  3. Optionally add a hint text (e.g. “Welcome! Your ticket is here.”) and a radius in metres (default 150).
  4. Save.
Apple Wallet only. Google Wallet no longer supports reliable location-based notifications, so this applies to Apple passes. It takes effect once Apple Wallet is enabled on your account — you can fill it in now and it works automatically the moment Apple goes live.
